Patti Henderson, Administrative Assistant

One of the most overlooked yet key staff positions in any church is the office Administrative Assistant. This person is an important individual to any church office for support of the ministerial staff, membership, and other persons who make contact with the church. Patti Henderson has served as Southview’s Administrative Assistant for the past 20 years.

She is a long-time area resident and church member and, it seems, is a walking phone book and Who’s Who for the community and church membership. It is this knowledge that proves invaluable to the church staff as they strive to minister to the needs of church members and community residents.

Patti has served three pastors during her tenure and several other ministerial staff from full time ministers to part-time and volunteer. Many of the young people and young adults refer to her as “Aunt Patti” and many others keep in touch because of her influence and encouragement in their lives. Patti has a great affection for children and youth and an honest empathy for others in need. She is usually the first contact for coordinating assistance to people in need through the church’s benevolence ministry.

Patti is married to Bill Henderson. Their daughter, Kimberly, and her husband, Michael, and grandson, Teagan are an active part of the Southview Baptist fellowship.

Ginny Goebel, Ministry Assistant

Ginny was born in the Houston area and attended Bay Area First Baptist Church for most of her life.  She graduated high school from Bay Area Christian School and completed her Bachelor of Science Degree at Sam Houston State University.  She is married to Clint Goebel and they are the proud parents of Taylor Grace and Hannah Rae and Emily Ann.

Ginny joined the Southview Baptist fellowship in 1997 and began teaching Sunday School in the Children’s Department that same year.  She began service on the Children’s Committee in 1998 and became chairman of the committee in 1999.  In July, 2000 Ginny assumed the responsibility of Children’s Director.  In 2008, God led her into a new direction of service and she is now our Ministry Assistant.  She and Clint remain faithful teachers and are currently working with the Youth Department.
